After completing the two semesters of Structural Design for the Stage class, I decided to do a research project and convert all that information covered in the steel and lumber chapters of Ben Sammler’s book to the metric unit. The goal for this research project was to be able to solve structural problems with loading conditions given in metric units following the guidelines provided in the latest edition of “Structural Design for the Stage”.

Después de completar los dos semestres de diseño estructural para escenarios, decidí hacer un proyecto de investigación y convertir toda la información cubierta en los capítulos de acero y madera del libro de Ben Sammler a la unidad métrica. El objetivo de este proyecto de investigación era poder resolver problemas estructurales con las condiciones de carga en unidades métricas siguiendo las pautas proporcionadas en la última edición del libro “Structural Design for the Stage” (Diseño Estructural para Escenario).
